Uploading a script

On Plus, Pro, or Max, drag a file into the Library or use Upload. Prescene reads the file, detects the title, format, and draft information, and suggests where it should live: a new film, a revision of something already in your Library, or a series episode. You confirm or change the destination before the upload. Each revision or episode you add counts as one script.

Choosing the right destination

The suggestion is a starting point, not a decision. You can always:

  • create a new film or series
  • add the script as a new episode of an existing series
  • add it as a revision of an existing film or episode

If the script matches something already in your Library (same series, same episode number), Prescene suggests the revision path so you do not accidentally create a duplicate title.

Uploading a new draft of an existing script

Open the title and upload the new file there, or upload from the Library and accept the revision suggestion. The new file becomes another script version and counts as one more script. Earlier versions stay in history, and Plus, Pro, and Max include version comparison.

Uploading episodes of a series

Series and seasons are available on Plus, Pro, and Max. Prescene reads episode markers like S01E03 from the file and filename. An episode number that already exists in your series becomes a revision of that episode. An open episode number becomes a new episode. You can correct the season, episode number, and episode title before the upload commits. If you clear the episode title, the episode is named "Episode N". Each episode revision counts as one script.

Bulk upload

Bulk upload is available only on Max. Drop several files at once and Prescene opens a batch review: files are classified, grouped into titles (a season of episodes together, a film with its drafts in order), and you confirm the whole batch. Uploads run in parallel, one analysis per script. Each revision and episode you add counts toward the 200-script limit.

Duplicate files

If you upload a file that is already in your Library, Prescene tells you and shows the match. You can continue anyway. The warning is there to save you a double upload, not to stop you.

Importing from Google Drive

Connect Google Drive under Connectors, then pick files with the Drive picker in the upload flow. Prescene only sees the files you pick.
