The craft

Elements follow your keys.

Tab and Enter walk the elements the way writers expect: INT. opens a slugline, an all-caps line becomes a character cue, Tab after a cue opens a parenthetical. ⌘ 1 through 7 set any element directly, and dual dialogue is one shortcut.

Your names, remembered.

Sluglines suggest your locations and times of day. Character names autocomplete from the script itself, with CONT'D handled for you. Custom transitions, extensions, and scene intros live in the script's settings.

Pages that behave.

US Letter, Courier 12 point, Final Draft margins. A character cue is never orphaned from its dialogue, speeches carry (MORE) and (CONT'D) across breaks, and scene lengths read in eighths. Scene numbers from an imported script are respected, never re-stamped.

An autosave that doesn’t lie.

The status bar reads Saving, Saved 3:42 PM, or Unsaved, and means it. Save a checkpoint before a big swing: every version in History shows what actually changed, restores in place, or forks into a new draft. Source versions from your Library stay read-only until you decide otherwise.

The agent

A collaborator that has read the draft.

Select a line to ask about it, or hand the agent a scene to tighten. It works from your actual scenes and characters, and answers like a collaborator, not a formatter.
